Your balance was Rs 300 yesterday. Today it is Rs 212 — and you did not make a single call. Before you blame the network, understand this: in most cases, your bundle is not the thief. Something else on your SIM is quietly renewing itself, day after day or week after week.
This guide separates the two very different things living on your SIM, shows you how to see everything that is active, and gives you the working stop routes for Jazz, Zong, Telenor and Ufone — checked against current sources in October 2026, with the fake codes exposed as well.
The Key Idea: Bundles Expire, Services Renew
There are two kinds of subscriptions on a Pakistani SIM, and they behave in opposite ways:
- Bundles (call, SMS and internet packages) — on all four networks, most current bundles are non-recursive. They simply expire at the end of their validity. There is usually no unsubscribe code to find, because there is nothing renewing.
- Value-Added Services (VAS) — caller tunes, missed-call alerts, status services, insurance, games and similar extras — are recursive. They charge daily, weekly or monthly until you explicitly stop them, even if you change your package completely.
So when balance “keeps cutting”, the cause is almost always one of three things: an active VAS, a genuinely auto-recursive daily offer, or pay-as-you-go data after a bundle ends (charged at up to Rs 5 per MB on Jazz). The fix starts with seeing what is actually on your SIM.
Step 1: See Everything Active on Your SIM
| Network | See active services (VAS) | See bundles / remaining resources |
|---|---|---|
| Jazz | Dial *6611#, or SMS List to 6611 |
*444# (My Offers); SIMOSA app → Services → Subscribed |
| Zong | My Zong App (full list of bundles + VAS) | *102# shows remaining resources |
| Telenor | My Telenor App (the authoritative list) | *999# MBs · *222# minutes · *111# SMS · *444# balance |
| Ufone | Dial *6869# — every active service, in one menu |
*706# shows resources + expiry; Uptcl app lists both |
Two honest notes. Telenor has no single USSD code that lists every subscription — the My Telenor App is the real list, and your SMS inbox helps too: every paid service’s activation SMS usually carries its own stop code. And on Zong, *102# shows what is left in your bundles, not a full subscription list — use the app, or call 310 and ask the agent.
Step 2: Unsubscribe, Network by Network
Jazz
Jazz has the cleanest route of the four:
- Dial
*6611#or SMSListto6611to get the exact names of your active services. - SMS
UNSUB <space> <service name>to6611— or remove the service inside the SIMOSA app (Services → Subscribed). - Wait for the confirmation SMS, and re-check the list the next day.
Examples of Jazz VAS stops: Jazz Tunes — SMS unsub to 230; Direct Operator Billing — SMS UNSUB to 6170; Missed Call Alert — *180*1#. If a bundle itself ever seems to renew, call 111 and ask Jazz to stop it — Jazz’s own bundle pages describe its main bundles as non-recursive, so a renewing “bundle” is usually a VAS wearing a bundle’s name.
Zong
- Dial
*6464#→ choose deactivation → select the bundle → confirm. A confirmation SMS follows. - Or SMS
Unsub <keyword>to6464— the keyword is bundle-specific and printed in each bundle’s details on zong.com.pk (for example, Monthly Digital Max Plus isUnsub mdm; Monthly WhatsApp Prime is the exception —Unsub mwpto 3999, or dial*3999#). - Or use the My Zong App → My Bundles / Active Offers → Unsubscribe.
Zong’s VAS each carry their own stop codes — there is no single Zong VAS stop code: Dial Tune SMS UNSUB to 2300; Missed Call Alerts SMS UNSUB to 6226; My Status SMS UNSUB to 6009. And one trap from Zong’s own terms: subscribing to the same bundle twice charges you twice — check the app before dialling a subscribe code a second time.
Telenor
Telenor has no verified “unsubscribe everything” code — be suspicious of any website that sells you one. The reliable routes, in order:
- My Telenor App → active offers → deactivate the ones you do not want.
- SMS the stop word to the service’s own short code (it is in the activation SMS). Example: Smart Tunes — SMS
USUBto5230(that spelling is Telenor’s own). - Call 345 and ask the agent to list and remove all subscriptions.
⚠️ The *345# trap: some sites claim dialling *345# unsubscribes packages. It does not — on Telenor, *345# is an offers/subscribe menu. Dialling it carelessly can buy you a bundle instead of cancelling one. Telenor’s weekly VAS layer (Missed Call Alerts Rs 8/week, Cricket Alerts Rs 28.56/week, and similar) is what actually renews on Telenor — stop the service itself, because there is no separate auto-renew switch.
Ufone
- Dial
*6869#→ every active service appears → reply with the service’s number to stop it; confirmation arrives by SMS. - SMS bundles: SMS
UNSUBto506— Ufone’s current general unsubscribe code for its SMS bundles (the Weekly SMS bundle usesUNSUBto8066). Older lists mention 605/603 — those were subscribe-side codes; 506 plus the Uptcl app is the route to trust. - The Unlimited WhatsApp Offer (Rs 5/day, auto-recursive) stops by dialling
*6300#. UTunes stops with SMSUNSUBto6666. - Current Ufone call packages publish no unsubscribe code — turn them off in the Uptcl app or call 333.
⚠️ Two debunked codes: *5353# does not switch off Ufone auto-renewal — it is an internet packages menu. And *43# is call waiting, not a package remover, whatever old lists claim.
The Other Balance-Killer: Pay-As-You-Go Data (and PTA’s Fix)
Sometimes nothing is subscribed at all — your bundle simply ended, and your phone kept using data at standard rates. PTA’s answer, in its advisory of 19 March 2026, is the free Balance Save service: once your bundle finishes, data charging stops instead of eating balance. Activate it:
| Network | Balance Save code |
|---|---|
| Jazz | *275# (to switch off: *275*4#) |
| Zong | *4004# |
| Ufone | *6611# |
| Telenor | *342# |
Note the trap hiding in that table: *6611# is Jazz’s VAS list and Ufone’s Balance Save — the same code does completely different jobs on different networks. Always check which network a code belongs to before dialling. (Older lists give different balance-save codes — Telenor *7799# and others. The codes above are PTA’s own from its March 2026 advisory; publish those.)
Your Rights: The 2025 Consent Law Is On Your Side
Since the Telecom Consumers Protection (Amendment) Regulations, 2025, the rules are firmly with the subscriber:
- No service — free, promotional or paid — may be activated without your explicit, informed consent, with charges disclosed before you agree.
- Silence is not consent. An SMS saying “reply NO within X hours or it activates” is expressly ruled out. A web-banner tap alone is not consent either; activation requires a verifiable yes — an OTP or a code you dialled yourself (PTA’s notice of 3 March 2026).
- Every activation must come with an easy, free opt-out, told to you at subscription time.
- Operators must alert you at least 3 days before a package expires and again on expiry day, and send usage alerts at 70%, 90% and 100% of a bundle.
If a service appeared on your SIM without an OTP or a code you dialled, its activation was unauthorised — which brings us to the remedy.
If You Never Subscribed: The Complaint Route
- Complain to your operator first and get a unique complaint number. The operator must register and resolve it within 3 working days. (On Jazz, make a no-consent/refund claim within 60 days of the activation.)
- If that fails, escalate to PTA: the CMS portal at complaint.pta.gov.pk, the PTA CMS mobile app, or the helpline 0800-55055.
- Be honest with yourself about the outcome: the law sets no automatic refund formula — you ask for a refund in the complaint, and PTA decides on the evidence. A dated complaint number and the activation SMS (or its absence) are your evidence.
Will Unsubscribing Eat Your Remaining MBs?
Usually, yes — and that shapes when to unsubscribe. Stopping a bundle mid-cycle generally forfeits what is left of it; unsubscribing does not refund the current cycle on any network. The sensible pattern:
- Bundles: let them run to expiry (they do not renew anyway), and simply do not re-subscribe.
- VAS: stop them the moment you find them — they are the ones charging you repeatedly, and stopping a VAS does not touch your bundles.
- Past charges are only recoverable through the unauthorised-activation complaint route above.

FAQs
Q: Is there one code that unsubscribes everything?
On Jazz, effectively yes for services: *6611# (or SMS List to 6611) lists every active VAS and the UNSUB-by-SMS route stops them. On Zong, Telenor and Ufone there is no single stop-everything code — Zong uses *6464# per bundle plus per-service codes, Telenor is app-first (My Telenor App or 345), and Ufone uses *6869# for services. Any site promising one universal code for all networks is guessing.
Q: My package “came back” the next day. Why?
Because bundles and services are two separate lists. You probably stopped a bundle (or it expired) while a VAS — a caller tune, an alert service, a daily offer — kept renewing underneath. Check both lists: the service list (*6611# Jazz, *6869# Ufone, the apps on Zong/Telenor) and the bundle screen, and stop what you find in each.
Q: Does *5353# stop Ufone auto-renewal? And what about *43#?
No to both. *5353# is Ufone’s internet packages menu — it subscribes and browses, it does not cancel. *43# is call waiting. Ufone’s real routes are *6869# for services, SMS UNSUB to 506 for SMS bundles, *6300# for the daily WhatsApp offer, and the Uptcl app or 333 for everything else.
Q: I never subscribed to this service. Can I get my money back? Possibly. Under the 2025 consent regulations, activation without your explicit consent (an OTP or a code you dialled) is unauthorised — silence or a banner tap does not count as consent. Complain to your operator first and keep the complaint number (on Jazz, within 60 days of activation); if unresolved in 3 working days, escalate to PTA via complaint.pta.gov.pk or 0800-55055. Refunds are decided on evidence, not automatic — but an activation you never approved is exactly what the law was written for.
